The head of state, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, declared July 13 as a Day of Mourning in memory of those who died during the coronavirus epidemic.
Today, in the Catholic Cathedral of Nur-Sultan, the Holy Mass was celebrated for the repose of the of the souls of the victims of the epidemic. The Holy Mass was presided over by Metropolitan Archbishop Tomash Peta.
The Catholic Church of Kazakhstan sincerely expresses condolences to families who have lost their relatives from the coronavirus pandemic. It is worth noting that since April 14, 2002, around-the-clock prayer has been held in the capital’s Cathedral, the Adoration of the Holy Sacrament is a kind of a ‘Around-the-clock prayer watch’, during which Catholics pray for many intentions, especially, for blessings for Kazakhstan.
