Письмо соболезнования кардиналу Ранджиту от епископов Казахстана

To His Eminence
Cardinal Albert Malcolm Ranjith Patabendige Don
Metropolitan Archbishop of Colombo, Archbishop’s House
976 Gnanartha Pradeepaya Mawatha
Colombo 08, Sri Lanka

Nur-Sultan, April 22, 2019

Your Eminence, dear Cardinal Ranjith,

In the name of the Bishops and the Catholic faithful of Kazakhstan we express to your Eminence our heartfelt condolence and our spiritual closeness in these days of unspeakable tragedy caused by the horrific terrorist attacks on churches and other places in Sri Lanka.

On this day there was celebrated in the Cathedral Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Nur-Sultan (former Astana), the capital city of Kazakhstan, the Holy Mass for the eternal repose of the victims as well as for the healing of the injured persons and for the consolation of the families and relatives of the victims of these attacks.

We pray that the Lord may grant to your Eminence and to the entire Catholic community in Sri Lanka the necessary spiritual and human help for the repairing of the damages inflicted upon your people by these horrendous and coward acts of hatred.

May the invincible power over death and sin, which radiates from the glorious wounds of our Risen Lord Jesus Christ transform the suffering of the innocent victims in graces for the spiritual strengthening of the Catholic Church in Sri Lanka and for a durable peace for all the people in your beloved country.

We greet you with the Christian Easter greeting “Christ is risen! Truly He is risen!” and remain united with you in prayers and fraternal love in Christ,

+ Jose Luis Mumbiela Sierra, Bishop of the diocese of the Most Holy Trinity in Almaty
President of the Conference of the Catholic Bishops of Kazakhstan

+ Tomash Peta, Metropolitan Archbishop of the archdiocese of Saint Mary in Astana
Vice- President of the Conference of the Catholic Bishops of Kazakhstan

+ Athanasius Schneider, Auxiliary Bishop of the archdiocese of Saint Mary in Astana
General Secretary of the Conference of the Catholic Bishops of Kazakhstan
