Every year in the park next to the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, better known among the people as the “Pyramid”, representatives of various confessions, city authorities, the committee on religious affairs plant trees as a sign of unity and joint concern for the world in which we live. This year, despite the recently ended state of emergency and the ongoing quarantine in the capital, was no exception. On May 16, another campaign was organized to green up the city. On behalf of the Catholic Church, Metropolitan Archbishop Tomash Peta was a ‘landscaper’. Muslims representatives, Representatives of Orthodox, Protestant churches and other religious associations took part in this kind of ‘subbotnik’ [Community Clean Up time], enriching the ‘Alley of Interfaith Harmony’ with new seedlings.
